I’m A Celebrity’s Gwrych Castle Floor Plans Revealed and They May Surprise You

The Welsh homeland of I’m A Celebrity … Get me out of here! Gwrych Castle has become an impressive series icon over its last two rounds.

But while many viewers would now recognize areas like Main Camp and The Clink, Abergele’s Castle is much more than it looks or was shown on the show.

Like for example, did you know that the Welsh Fortress actually has four floors?

You can read more Showbiz news here.

Gwrych Castle posted the floor plans for all four floors on their Instagram account, showing the massive size of the castle, from the music rooms to a photo gallery.

The Gwrych Castle Trust is currently trying to restore the castle, as not all floors are accessible due to damage, and have released floor plans to show the enormity of their task.

The first floor plan includes a smoking room and billiard room

They explained that since the castle is built on a hill, it’s hard to understand how big the castle really is, which is why it may appear smaller on I’m A Celebrity as well.

The castle has four floors with the basement previously dedicated to the use of servants with a maid’s room, a scullery and servants’ rooms.

The first floor housed a library, a round office and a music room, while the second floor housed a photo gallery, a ceremonial bedroom and a breakfast room.

Overall there are 23 rooms most of which are on the second and third floors next to a private chapel. The castle is currently closed to the public but will reopen in spring 2022.

Gwrych Castle also suffered from Storm Arwen, as areas of the land were damaged by fallen trees. The trust said it could take years to repair the damage.
